Lydia Spells
Here are two videos of Lydia spelling with her Daddy. She likes to "write," especially names, and so she is writing with Daddy. "D" is her favorite letter, and so she says it here instead of "L."
she is so cute!! and what a smartie! I love these videos. I want to see more! is she actually able to make the letters? porter still seems to struggle with the fine motor skills reguired although he does know all the letters and the sounds.
I realize in retrospect that this video could be a little misleading. Lydia doesn't know her letters really at all, nor does she actually write them. She'll repeat letters after Avram says them, and knows that he's spelling out a name, and she'll "write" the name (she's actually just making little marks on the paper, or scribbling), but she doesn't know what name he spelled out until he says it at the end. And she can basically only "spell" her name and Daddy. When he does Mama, she ends up repeating after him, D-a-d-a (It's those D's that she loves). It's still cute, though, but she's definitely no where near knowing the alphabet.
That is so darling. I forgot to refresh so it wasn't coming up. It is so cute how she spells and writes.
