Sing it with me, now.... (to the tune of "There Was an Old Lady")

There was a young Mama who lay on the couch

She lay on the couch to settle her stomach

From eating the food that went with the water

She drank with the pill

The pill that she swallowed to nourish the baby

That wriggled and tickled and jiggled inside her.

Perhaps she'll cry.

P.S. We are thrilled. If thrilled means lying in bed composing bad parodies of songs while my stomach revolts.

P.P.S. Due June 17, 2010

  2. Congratulations! I hope your all-day sickness (as I liked to call it) doesn't last horribly long, or isn't completely debilitating. Hopefully your Lydia might be able to understand and be extra nice because of it. (at least on occasion would be nice.)

  5. Oh!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! How exciting! May this be your easiest pregnancy yet.

And perhaps she'll cry? Oh she'll cry, alright. She'll cry plenty in the next several months. :) (hopefully mostly happy tears, though!)

  9. Wonderful news! Not about the feeling sick, but about the little wiggler.

June 17th is a lovely duedate. I have a niece born that day . . . and another niece born the 12th . . . and I'm on the 9th, and so is my brother, and so was my grandma, and Dean is on the 18th. He was the 5th child but first boy and was born on Father's Day. June is a lovely month for birthdays.

  10. Wonderful announcement, Thoram! I'm so glad that I can now admit knowing. About crying: yes, you will cry, of course, but NOTHING like the way you'll cry 16 years from now, when he (or SHE) wants to go to boarding school, 1500 miles away from home...
